ABU Digista teens Project

ABU Digista teens Project, it's a new kind of international image festival that allows teens from various regions of Asia to challenge movie productions and makes it fun to learn from each other, connecting with participating countries. ABU Digista teens is a co-produced TV program by Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU).
This year's theme is "Life". Teens from 7 countries (Japan, Mongolia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Brunei, Thailand and Malaysia) challenge a one-minute movie production per team. Equator's animation student Lim Ee-Wei are representing Malaysia with his title "Oh Butterfly!".

25th Anniversary Celebration

Equator of Art and Design was founded in the year 1987. This year we celebrate our 25th Anniversary milestone with a series of programs and activities which encompass events related to lively art & design. These include academic events, workshops, and exhibitions.
The grand finale is the Anniversary Dinner at G-Hotel on the Sunday, 25th November 2012. A fashion show and series of exciting programs will be the highlights of the night.

Adobe Design Software Presentation For Class 123

Congratulation again to Class 123 students for receiving their Adobe Creative Suite CS6 design softwares, included Adobe Illustrator CS6, Photoshop CS6, InDesign CS6, Flash CS6 and etc. The software presentation were presented by the Principal Dato' Chuah, VP Dr.Lim, Ms Tan and Ms Ong. This is the college initiative to encourage our students to use original softwares.

Winners from Equator attended the Tanjong Heritage Awards Ceremony recently. The winners in the Charcoal/ Pencil/ Ink category are Lim Liong Ket (1st Prize). Other consolation prizes goes to Tan Shu Wei (Charcoal/ Pencil/ Ink), Khaw Chu Keat (Water Colour), Tan Jia Xuan (Print Making).

Autodesk Panorama 2012 Finalist

Finalists from Equator attended a week Autodesk Panorama Bootcamp 2012 in Singapore recently. The winners are Lim Ee-Wei, Tan Sheng Khai and Jonathan Abel produced their 3D animation title "Robsolete" that give them a chance to exchange ideas, explore new skills and paid for by Autodesk, Singapore.

Interior Design Workshop 2012

From our partner University of Wolverhampton, facilitator by Ben Slater, that the workshop aims to develop awareness of the importance of conceptual thinking in design methodologies, enabling a deeper and more considered approach to design solutions. More than 70+ 2nd year interior students attended the workshop in kinaesthetic learning style. The workshop geared toward the creation of a physical model of furniture, using only regenerated or discarded material with the aim of stressing the ability to interpret and represent form and functions in a quick, easy and very effective way, to support concept generation and project proportion.

German Tiger Art Exhibition 2012
