Diploma in Fine Art

The Diploma in Fine Art programme provides students with excellent exposure to all techniques involved in the discipline. Over the duration of this course, students are given the opportunity to experiment with a wide range of materials, skills, forms, and techniques which provide them with a solid foundation for further development in their chosen art-related careers.

Knowledge in the history of art and contemporary art enhances students' appreciation of local and regional cultures. Creative thinking is nurtured as students are encouraged to think as professional artists. Students can major in a variety of media such as painting, drawing, printmaking, modelling and carving. They are also exposed to exhibitions, seminars, practical workshops, and art dialogues conducted by local and international artists and lecturers.

Note: Candidates who do not have Art may be required to Pass in interview / drawing test / portfolio assessment conducted by Equator College to determine their suitability for the course. Applicants are also required to demonstrate proficiency in English, a pass in SPM/O-Levels English or have studied subjects that require a satisfactory level in English.
